  i have read the new wt and am thinking of going back.

  i believe a lot of the teachings and i see what is going on .

  i just feel a lot of confusion right now.

  Letter to the Governing Body and Their Reply re: 607!! This is a MUST READ!

  for all of you new ones or lurkers who have not yet seen this corespondence with the society, you definately should take the time to see just how willing they are to avoid the questions at hand regarding 607 but quick to say you are spiritually sick..now that is sick!

  Dear Magoo,

  I know this may be old news to alot here, but there seems to be LOTS of newbies lately, and many of these older posts have much valuable information for those trying to research and who are trying to get informed. I guess I am just trying to share with them the things others here shared with me, that helped me reach the decision to leave. Every once in a while I will bump things that helped me to the fore. No need to reinvent the wheel.

  i have laid low from posting here for a bit and was barely here at all to begin with, so most, if not all of you, may not remember me.

  i thought i'd let you all in on what just occurred in my cong.

  my ex wife was df'd in 2003 for multiple counts of adultery spanning a 7 year stretch.

  Dear Hambeak,

  (((HUGS))) No matter what you decide to do, remember one thing. The JWs claim to have the truth. Truth is 100% true. Not 90% or even 99% true. If it is less then 100% true, then it cannot really be called "truth". The truth is 100% pure truth.

  Remember the old example we used to tell our Bible studies: Would you drink a glass of water if you knew it had only 1 drop of poison in it? Sure, it may look and look refreshing, but that one little drop may kill you. Would you still drink it knowing it could harm or even kill you? Of course not.

  And so my dear friend, the decision to go back is of course yours. You may go back, and not be able to deal with the things being taught as truth that you now know, is not truth.

  Think too, you will be expected to teach others things that you know not to be true. Can you live with that? When I told my JW Grandmother that I could no longer teach others things I knew were untrue, I asked her how was I, in good conscience, preach to others these things. She said that Jehovah would hold those who publish the literature accountable if the things being taught were untrue..but at least I would be following direction and would be doing what I was told. My reply to her was, I couldn't do it. Knowing how much Jehovah hates a liar, I could not in good conscience continue.

  My suggestion to you is that you do some deep research on some of the topics I am sure you are now aware of. Perhaps you have never done research to really know how much the organization has deliberitly decieved its followers. But if you are considering going back for reasons other than family and friends... please take the time to research before you make your decision.

  Just know that whatever happens, what ever you decide, we will be here for you if you need us.
